By the 14th century the table fork had become commonplace in Italy, and by 1600 was almost universal among the merchant and upper classes. It was proper for a guest to arrive with his own fork and spoon enclosed in a box called a cadena; this usage was introduced to the French court with Catherine de' Medici's entourage. Although in Portugal forks were first used around 1450 by Infanta Beatrice, Duchess of Viseu, King Manuel I of Portugal's mother, only by the 16th century, when they had become part of Italian etiquette, did forks enter into common use in Southern Europe, gaining some currency in Spain, and gradually spreading to France. The Lafayette mics never measured up near the same sound quality as the American counterparts but that being said they have a beautiful design with high quality finish. It should be stated that this mic has been tested and cleaned. This microphone does have the original element as well. It has a smooth strong tone and these are often great harp mics though they were intended for general broadcasting. Could even be used for singing though it has it's limitations. The ON \/ OFF switch slides smoothly without issue and as seen in the pictures provided the satin chrome finish is overall very nice with a minimum of wear.","brand":"Iapello Arts \u0026 Antiques","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":41423607103686,"sku":"","price":3000.0,"currency_code":"MXN","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0567\/8183\/2390\/files\/F0EABB65-3A97-4227-9CBC-93C9838DAA0D.jpg?v=1765294816"},{"product_id":"vintage-1930s-german-munchen-beer-steins-ceramic-and-pewter","title":"Vintage, 1930s ,German München Beer Steins.
