This DJ Knife is the last type of Hitler Youth affiliated knife produced during the period. It did not have an HJ diamond in the scabbard, presumably because the rapidly crumbling Reich could not afford even minor embellishment at the time. The knife has the usual nickle plated hilt. This hilt is in excellent condition, showing only normal age and no faults. The grip plates are of black checkered Bakelite, retained by steel rivets with dressed heads. The scabbard remains in excellent condition. Attached to the scabbard is an outstanding brown leather hanger. This hanger is quite new-like and is complete with a smaller retainer loop with a working snap. The blade is a fine, slab-sided example without a ricasso. It remains in excellent condition, with full, original crossgrain. The original brown felt buffer is in place, showing only modest wear.
