Champion Hardware Company - History.

 

John and Ezra Hassenflug founded the Champion Hardware Company in 1883, headquartered in Geneva, Ohio.

 

Champion produced cast-iron toys during the period 1930 and 1936. Toy production represented an attempt to find an alternative source of income during the Depression. C. I. Chamberlain was president of Champion during its toy production period.

 

In addition, Champion also cast parts for other toy manufacturers.

 

Champion Hardware Company ceased operations in 1954.
