The Catalan artist shows a work that brings together dozens of illustrated female nudes. Anonymous women that the artist wanted to represent with the strokes of his drawings and that have been portrayed over the years during his stays in Spain.
The edition of El libro rojo consists of 400 copies, all signed by the author, and the limited edition of twenty each contains an original drawing that make up the “Mexican Suite”, portraits of prostitutes made in Havana, Cuba, and Mexico.
Ramon Sanmiquel is a self-taught watercolorist, draftsman and engraver. He currently lives between Mexico and Spain.
