General Electric is a multinational conglomerate with a long, storied history full of innovation and revolution. Originally founded in 1890 as the "Edison General Electric Company", the company quickly merged with their competitor Thomas-Houston Company in 1892 after both companies began to experience increased difficulty trying to produce complete electrical installations relying solely on their own patents and technology. Whether they were inventing the latest innovation of lighting technology, a way to allow consumers to still purchase appliances during the great depression or developing radar and aviation technology during World War 2, General Electric has always had an important place in history. Whether filling a need or creating one that we didn't know we had yet, General Electric has been a driving force in the area of technological advancement worldwide. Whenever you turn on a light bulb or electric fan, GE's legacy shines on.

General Electric is no stranger to innovation over the years, making history with the first voice radio broadcast through their child company RCA on Christmas Eve in 1906. Since then, they have both acquired and entered a variety of different industries with great success.
