  1. On the front a hand drawing of the face of Christ with the crown of thorns on the head. It was one of the instruments of the Passion, employed by Jesus' captors both to cause him pain and to mock his claim of authority. It is mentioned in the gospels of Matthew (Matthew 27:29), Mark(Mark 15:17) and John (John 19:2, 19:5), and is often alluded to by the early Church Fathers, such as Clement of Alexandria, Origen and others, along with being referenced in the apocryphalGospel of Peter.

  1. On the other side a drawing with gold leaf of the representation of the Holy Virgin Mary holding Christ in her arms. Drawing found in The Monastery of Santa Espina, a Cistercian monastery located in the valley of the Bajoz River in the Torozos Mountains. It is located in the town of La Santa Espina, in the municipality of Castromonte in the province of Valladolid, autonomous community of Castilla y León.
