Leonardo Barrientos Leal
Emerging self-taught sculptor, born in 1981, in Mexico City.
Most of his works have been made of wood as the main support material, using simple themes and mechanisms that maintain a playful interaction with the work of art. His main artistic production is based on sculpture, but to a lesser extent, also on utilitarian objects, graphics and jewelry. His speeches are based on surrealist and figurative proposals, trying to simplify the observer's reading and interpretation of the works.
The last space where he held an exhibition was at the Artemis Gallery, in Polanco.
Currently, he is in the production of work experimenting with new materials and approaches, such as the abstract figurative, to again look for similar spaces and galleries, for exhibition.
