The only one of the pin-up artists to be completely self-taught, Billy De Vorss sold his first three pin-up drawings for a Calendar in St. Paul in 1933. Until that time, he had been working as a teller at a bank in St. Joseph , Missouri. There he had met a stunning woman, Glenna, who became his wife and the artist’s official model.
