Mexico. Olga and Rufino Tamayo Foundation, CONACULTA, INBA, Turner, 2004, p. 237, cataloged 295. This work accompanied the inaugural invitation of the Rufino Tamayo Museum of International Contemporary Art in May 1981.
In 1981, Rufino Tamayo conceived a series of miniature mixographs that served as an invitation for the inauguration of this museum, and that were distributed among the artistic community and the political class of Mexico, as well as among the friends and colleagues of the Oaxacan master. These images represent three characters, one female and two male, whose solitary figures of extreme simplicity stand out against backgrounds of deep tones and textures. The serial nature of the works was underlined by the different inkings of each edition, up to twelve variants.
