Very rare, Antique Double Dog Animated Figural Clock by Meyers, Austria circa 1870.

Size : 26.5 cm tall and the base is oval shaped- 14 cm x 11 cm

Is an interesting diecast painted metal illustrated clock. It is of an old lady in a coat and bonnet holding two dogs in her arms and a twisted wire “leash” leading down to another dog at her feet.

It was manufactured in Austria by Meyer Uhrenfabrik. As the keywound clock runs, the tongues of the two dogs she is holding “pant” with their red tongues extending out the open mouths. The condition is fine with some paint chipping due to wear that detracts very little because of the darker colors used. An excellent addition to any collection of dog novelties or animated clocks. Winding key included with clock.
