Giovanni Gaspare Filippo Corvetto (Genoa, August 10, 1830 – Turin, July 26, 1898) was an Italian soldier and politician.
A sixteen-year-old volunteer in the Sapper Battalion of the Engineers, he took part in the First War of Independence in 1849 as a second lieutenant in the 7th Infantry Regiment. In 1865, with the rank of major, he was appointed director of studies at the military infantry school in Modena. The following year, he fought in the Third War of Independence and was then assigned to the Ministry of War, where he served as head of the military studies office, attaché to the general infantry command, head of the military operations office, and deputy general director of the armaments division. In 1876, he was appointed honorary aide-de-camp to His Majesty the King and was elected to parliament for the first time for the Cagli constituency. Concurrently with his parliamentary term, which lasted for another five terms, he served as deputy commander and full commander of the Rome War School, commander of the Venice Infantry Brigade, secretary general of the Ministry of War, and commander of the Naples Territorial Military Division. He also served as undersecretary of the same ministry for three terms. At the end of the 17th parliament, he was appointed senator.
