William Shimer & Sons Company, an iron foundry and machine shop was located in Shimerville, just outside Freemansburg, Pennsylvania. It was in operation between 1875 and 1913.

The company manufactured a line of cast iron small automobiles (1909-1910), banks, horse-drawn toys, and trains.

William Shimer & Sons Company received a patent on April 23, 1895, for a firecracker canon.

Shimer ceased operations in 1913.
