Antique medallion / reliquary, in chiselled sterling silver with a large, beautifully polychrome porcelain cabochon.
Spain early 1700s
Size 4 x 3.5 x 0.8. cm
On one side Saint Anthony of Padua with the child Jesus in his arms and on the other side an angel of the second order or Hyperphany, in charge of making miracles come true. They appear dressed as deacons and carry a branch of lilies. Given their strength and wisdom, it is common to see them with a sword and the Holy Book.
