The badge features a 54 mm Amalfi Cross surmounted by a closed Crown of Sovereignty and is worn from a black neck ribbon. It is maker marked “D&C STER” for Dieges & Clust, Sterling on the reverse of the arms and bow suspension. The badge measures approximately 47.8 mm by 112 mm inclusive of the crown, arms, and bow suspension, and remains on its full-length neck ribbon with elastic ties. The enamels are intact overall.
